(Vintage Old Stock) Our VOS finish represent the wish we all have to find unused original parts. Stored away for many years, collecting dust and remaining in nearly mint condition. There are no aging techniques used on these items, so they'll pair perfectly with non aged guitars, but we do still use our own unique material treatment process to make them appear and feel more like their vintage counterparts!

The key to this is the overall finish. Modern parts are more hard and durable, featuring a very high gloss finish. This makes them much less prone to aging. So they feel different to touch, but they also look like they don't belong.

Vintage Parts are typically more soft or brittle, and even when we see them in mint condition today, they have what we call a "dull shine" or dull gloss finish. The original gloss finish may have never been worn away, but as the years have passed the parts will degrade and oxidize, sometimes softening the material (nitrate/nylon) and more commonly causing a loss of gloss, or clouding. Leaving that beautiful dull gloss finish. This is what we replicate for VOS. As well as all of our other Aged Finishes.

Building off of our stunning VOS finish, we progress to something that shows clear signs of use, but still wouldn't look out of place on a vintage instrument in great or player grade conditions.

Light Aged finishes typically feature Light Patina, Fine Scuffing, Minor Dings, Some Discoloration, and a Lovely Dull Gloss Finish.

Progressing even further, this finish begins to show more serious signs of age. Capturing the vibe of an instrument that has spent many nights in smokey bars serving as the number one guitar for a gigging musician. Maybe even getting dropped or banged up a few times along the way. 

Heavy Aged finishes typically feature Noticeable Patina and Dirt build up, Scratching, Dings, Pitting, Yellowing or Discoloration, and a Lovely Dull Gloss Finish. (Some Heavy Aged items also have an option for Cracks or Breaks)
