The Ultimate 1954 Strat Collectors item to be featured as a display piece - A true piece of Fender® History recreated correctly for the first time ever with the exact vintage tooling used by Fender® in 1954.

In 1954 Fender® briefly stamped serial numbers on the plastic back plates during the pre-production as opposed to stamping the metal neck plate which they subsequently started doing later that year across all models. There was only a very small amount of these guitars with this unique spec ever created, the numbers were stamped individually by hand giving it an imperfect aesthetic, and the serial numbers ranged from 0035 to 0213. 

Fender has since made anniversary models of the 1954 Strat, some including stamped plastic back plates, but they incorrectly stamp them with the wrong font due to the fact that the original stamps are so unique an incredibly hard to find, especially in the right sizing.

After years of searching we were lucky enough to find THE ORIGINAL stamps used on the early pre-production 1954 Stratocasters. The stamps we acquired are not reproductions or a custom set that was remade to match the originals, they are true vintage stamps straight out of 1950's USA. Considering the unique font shape and limited options of USA made stamps available in the 50's, we can confidently say these are the exact same ones that would have been used by Fender in 1954.
